New Inspector General of Government Aisha Naluzze Batala pledges to prosecute corrupt public servants

In her first media remarks since being appointed Inspector General of Government, Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala said she would reform the IGG office and pursue prosecutions of public servants who embezzle public resources. According to Nile Post, Leader of Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi, a member of the parliamentary appointments committee that approved her, voiced doubt that she could carry out reforms without obstruction.
