According to ChimpReports, the NRM elections disputes tribunal nullified Collins Tanga's win as NRM Youth League chairperson after a petition by runner-up Brenda Kiconco, citing a tainted tally, and ordered a fresh poll without the involvement of party electoral commission chairperson Dr Tanga Odoi, Collins Tanga's father. Dr Tanga Odoi accepted the ruling and agreed to step aside, while Collins Tanga told reporters in Kampala on Wednesday that he rejected it as based on speculation.
A national event, not tied to one district.
Disputed: The tribunal found the tally tainted and annulled the election, while Collins Tanga says there was no proven bias or vote additions and that the tribunal relied on evidence it had itself called inconclusive.
