NRM tribunal annuls Jacqueline Mbabazi's win as Western Region older persons' flag bearer, orders re-run

The NRM Election Disputes Tribunal, chaired by John Musiime, nullified Jacqueline Mbabazi's declaration as the party's flag bearer for the Western Region Older Persons' parliamentary seat after a petition by Patrick Kyamukate Mutabwire, ChimpReports reports. The tribunal cited ballot stuffing, duplicate entries, illegal substitutions and votes recorded for deceased persons, including 430 ballots cast against 364 eligible delegates, and directed the party's electoral commission to hold a fresh poll within 14 days.
