NRM's Julius Karuhanga petitions court against election of Charles Ngabirano as Rwampara East MP

Julius Karuhanga, the incumbent who stood for the NRM, has filed a petition challenging the Electoral Commission's declaration of Independent candidate Charles Ngabirano as MP for Rwampara East, the Daily Monitor reports. Karuhanga alleges the Commission disenfranchised voters by nullifying results from 8 polling stations he says he had won, and asks for the election to be annulled and a by-election held. The respondents could not be reached for comment.
