NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya said the party's Ankole Sub-region coordinator, Bright Muhumuza, was abducted on 14 January while delivering polling agents' letters and facilitation, and that his whereabouts remain unknown, ChimpReports reported. NUP officials said unidentified security operatives carried out the abduction and demanded his release.
