NUP secretary general Lewis Rubongoya said Electoral Commission officials denied nomination to NUP-endorsed LC5 aspirants in districts including Kasese, Kaliro, Katakwi, Butaleja, Ssembabule, Bundibugyo and Kitgum, and aspirants from Luuka and Nakaseke described their papers being declared incomplete. EC spokesperson Julius Mucunguzi said no one lacking the legal requirements can be nominated and asked aggrieved candidates to file formal complaints with evidence.
A national event, not tied to one district.
