OPM and Finance Ministry officials say local government funding will be tied to performance

At a government budget consultative workshop in Mukono, an Office of the Prime Minister official said results of the 2024/25 local government performance assessment will influence funding to districts, cities and municipalities. A Ministry of Finance commissioner, representing the minister, said resource allocation will be strictly linked to performance, accountability and service delivery results, according to the Daily Monitor.
