Former Kira Municipality MP Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, secretary general of the People's Front for Freedom, told NMG-Uganda in a Zoom interview that he has left Uganda and does not plan to return soon, saying he faced repeated threats that he would be arrested next, which he attributed to the Chief of Defence Forces. He cited the arrests of opposition figures including Dr Kizza Besigye, Erias Lukwago and Muwanga Kivumbi. NRM spokesperson Emmanuel Dombo rejected claims that political space is shrinking and urged the opposition to use the IPOD dialogue platform.
