Parliament has started examining the Leadership Code (Amendment) Bill, 2020, presented by the Minister of State for Ethics and Integrity Simon Lokodo, according to The Independent. The bill would, among other changes, make failure to declare or false declaration of assets a breach, require all public officers to declare income, assets and liabilities to the Inspectorate of Government, and widen the Leadership Code Tribunal's jurisdiction. IGG spokesperson Ali Munira urged legislators to pass it before the April 2021 declaration period.
