Parliament constitutes Appointments Committee ahead of vetting of ministers designate

Parliament constituted its Appointments Committee during the plenary of 28 May 2026 chaired by Speaker Jacob Oboth, ChimpReports reports. The committee, chaired by the Speaker and including Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi and members from NRM, opposition parties and independents, was due to begin vetting ministers designate on 1 June 2026.
