According to the Daily Monitor, Parliament passed the Protection of Sovereignty Bill, 2026 at a sitting on Tuesday. Leader of the Opposition Joel Ssenyonyi asked for the Bill to be thrown out, arguing that it differed from the version first tabled and rested on a leaked report; Speaker Anita Among rejected this, saying she had authorised the report. The Speaker gave the six minority reports 35 minutes between them and cut individual presentations to five minutes, and opposition MPs protested that they could not present their dissent in full.
A national event, not tied to one district.
