The Clerk to Parliament issued a notice setting the timetable for a by-election to fill two Ugandan seats in the East African Legislative Assembly, vacated when Dennis Namara and James Kakooza Mutagubya were elected to the national Parliament. According to the notice, nomination forms are picked from 25 March, nominations take place on 30 and 31 March, and voting is set for 15 April 2026.
