According to the Daily Monitor, lawyers for Ismail Ssemakula told the High Court before Justice Joyce Kavuma that they had closed their case after presenting eight witnesses in total, the last three on Saturday. Ssemakula is seeking to nullify MP Joseph Gozanga Ssewungu's 46-vote win, alleging falsified declaration of results forms, which Ssewungu denies. The hearing was adjourned to 23 and 24 October for the defence.
