Petroleum Authority of Uganda board appoints Fred Kabanda as Executive Director

The Petroleum Authority of Uganda board announced the appointment of Fred Kabanda, head of the Extractives Division at the African Development Bank, as Executive Director to succeed Ernest Rubondo. According to a statement by board chair Lynda Biribonwa, Kabanda will take office on December 1, 2026, with Otonga Michael Ochan acting until then.
