Protest & Civil Unrest Verified Uganda (national) 11 Aug 2026 Severity: 1/5

The Daily Monitor reports that the Platform for Informal Workers delivered a petition signed by over 300 traders to State House Entebbe and the Office of the Prime Minister, asking for financial relief for traders hurt by the trade order. At a press conference in Kampala, the platform's chairperson said the traders wanted dialogue with the government. A Kampala traders' leader said evicted vendors had not received the alternative spaces the government promised.

A national event, not tied to one district.
