Policy & Legislation Verified Uganda (national) 12 Aug 2026 Severity: 1/5

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja said that, on the President's guidance, Seventh-day Adventists would stay home during the cleaning hours of the 29 August National Cleaning Day and do their cleaning on the Sunday instead. She said the government had made the cleaning day a permanent programme and that movement of vehicles and people would be restricted from 7am to 10am, with exemptions. She also gave directives to local leaders on waste collection, disposal and enforcement.

A national event, not tied to one district.
