According to the Daily Monitor, Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja wrote to Energy Minister Ruth Nankabirwa on 3 December directing her to halt planned terminations of the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company's senior management and suspend a proposed joint venture with a private power supplier until Cabinet decides.
