According to the Nile Post, police in the Mount Moroto region passed out 1,296 election police constables after a 10-day course in election policing, crowd control and public order management. Regional Police Commander SSP Edirisa Kyeyune said the officers were prepared to work professionally, and police leaders pledged impartial policing in Karamoja during the elections.
