Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke told journalists at the National Tally Centre that at least 400 people had been arrested across the country since voting began, naming Matuga, Buyende, Nansana and Mbarara among the places. He said many of those arrested were groups presented as 'voter protection units' whom police regarded as a threat to public order, and that suspects would be processed according to the law.
A national event, not tied to one district.
