President Museveni disbands Fisheries Protection Unit and forms UPDF 155 Marine Battalion

According to the Daily Monitor, President Museveni disbanded the Fisheries Protection Unit and replaced it with the UPDF's 155 Marine Battalion, which will work with landing-site committees of fishers and investors. He tasked Lt Gen Sam Okiding and Maj Gen Richard Otto with forming the committees within three months. Fishers' leaders welcomed the change, while saying some FPU officers had abused their authority.
