Presidential candidates Katumba, Mayambala and Mwesigye halt campaigns

According to The Observer, independent candidates John Katumba and Willy Mayambala said they would stop campaigning until Kyagulanyi is freed, and Mayambala headed to Nalufenya police station to seek his release. Pastor Fred Mwesigye, due to campaign in Kampala, also halted his campaign, which the paper says was at the request of the Electoral Commission. Norbert Mao, Joseph Kabuleta and Nancy Kalembe said they would continue campaigning.
