Protected witness testifies in ICD trial over 2015 murder of prosecutor Joan Kagezi

A protected prosecution witness, 'Witness D', told the International Crimes Division of the High Court that accused John Masajage had told him that he and others were given 'a deal' to kill Senior Principal State Attorney Joan Kagezi. The witness, the state's 18th, testified before a four-judge panel led by Justice Andrew Bashaija in the trial of John Kibuuka, John Masajage and Nasul Mugonore. According to the Daily Monitor, the court adjourned the hearing to 24 October 2025.
