Rwanda FDA suspends imports and orders recall of Ugandan-made alcoholic drinks including Bond 7 and Gilbey's

The Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority suspended the importation of, and ordered a recall of, several alcoholic beverages made in Uganda by Uganda Breweries Limited, John Distillers (U) Ltd and Glorrie Industries Limited. The regulator said the action followed inspections and compliance assessments and was taken in the interest of public health; the products were among 52 imported drinks from several countries listed in the notice.
