Savannah Regional Police ban processions and limit parliamentary aspirants to four people at nominations

The Daily Monitor reports that the Savannah Regional Police issued guidelines for the 22–23 October 2025 parliamentary nominations in Luweero, Nakaseke and Nakasongola districts, banning rallies and processions and limiting each aspirant to one vehicle with four occupants. Police spokesperson ASP Sam Twiineamazima said the measures follow Electoral Commission guidelines and warned that violators would face legal action.
