Security forces block Kyagulanyi from campaigning in Kabarole and Fort Portal; supporters tear-gassed

According to the Daily Monitor, UPDF and police blocked NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi twice on the Fort Portal–Bundibugyo Road, at Buteebe Trading Centre and at Kahinju Secondary School, preventing him from reaching his rallies in Kabarole and Fort Portal City; he was allowed to campaign only at Busiita Playground in Bunyangabu. The paper reports that supporters who tried to approach him were dispersed with tear gas and live bullets fired in the air, and that some were beaten and others arrested. Security personnel also stopped party members from selling merchandise near the NUP Tooro offices on Bwamba Road.
