Security forces in northern Uganda order ban on transporting charcoal into Uganda

According to the Daily Monitor, security issued an order on Tuesday banning the transport of charcoal into Uganda, citing defiance of Presidential Executive Order No. 3 of 2023. The order was given when Maj Gen Busizoori met charcoal dealers and security officials. Security officials rejected some dealers' claim that the charcoal came from South Sudan.
