Speaker Oboth sets 30 June 2027 deadline for Roko Construction to complete new Parliament chamber

Speaker Jacob Markson Oboth told Parliament in plenary that the Parliamentary Commission had given Roko Construction Ltd until 30 June 2027 to finish the new parliamentary chamber, after a site inspection on 26 August. According to the Daily Monitor, the project began in 2017 and was due in 2020, and its revised contract value is about Shs220 billion.
