Local Government Minister Balaam Barugahara said the State House Anti-Corruption Unit had recommended to the Ministry of Local Government Permanent Secretary that 28 district and city officials in Isingiro, Buhweju and Mbarara City be interdicted to allow investigations into alleged corruption, according to ChimpReports. The list mainly covers technical and administrative officers; the minister stressed that those listed are suspects, not convicted persons.
