A seven-member Supreme Court bench, in a ruling read by Justice Christopher Madurama, dismissed Patrick Mukisa's application against the Attorney General, the Electoral Commission and President Museveni seeking to stop the elections and set up an interim administration. The court held that the dispute was pre-election in nature and outside its original jurisdiction, that the applicant lacked standing, and struck out the proceedings against the President on the grounds of presidential immunity.
