Two retired UPDF generals and former CMI chiefs detained in probe into alleged false intelligence

According to the Daily Monitor, citing military sources, retired Maj Gen Abel Kandiho and retired Brig Gen Charles Bakahumura, both former heads of military intelligence, were picked up on Wednesday morning, less than three weeks after retiring. The paper reports the arrests are allegedly linked to an inquiry sanctioned by Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba into alleged false intelligence and treachery; the UPDF had not issued a statement by press time.
