UCC says inquiry into Nation Media Group closure is ongoing as reopening talks continue

Uganda Communications Commission Executive Director Nyombi Thembo told Uganda Radio Network that the security inquiry into the closure of Nation Media Group Uganda had not concluded and that the commission would decide on any regulatory action after receiving the final report. He declined to say whether UCC was part of talks between security agencies and NMG shareholders, which NMG's editorial general manager confirmed were ongoing.
