Ugandan national Michael Katungi Mpeirwe was extradited from Uganda and appeared before a US federal court in Alexandria, Virginia on Saturday, according to ChimpReports and the US Justice Department. He faces conspiracy charges linked to cocaine trafficking, firearms and material support to the CJNG cartel, which he has not been convicted of. The Justice Department thanked Uganda's Ministry of Justice and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for their help.
