Uganda Law Society and East Africa Law Society go to court to block deportation flight from US to Uganda

The Uganda Law Society and the East Africa Law Society said they had filed court applications in Uganda and the region to stop the transfer of about a dozen people being deported from the United States to Uganda on a privately owned aircraft. ULS Vice President Asiimwe Anthony said the transfer was unlawful and that Uganda's immigration directorate, Parliament and Ministry of Foreign Affairs had not been consulted or informed.
