Uganda Law Society members issue statement rejecting Council's Executive Order on political endorsement

Nile Post reported that a group of Uganda Law Society members signed a statement dated 29 December 2025 condemning the Governing Council's Executive Order RNB No. 6 of 2025, which they say endorses a presidential candidate. The signatories said the Council acted without consultation and called on members to disregard the order to protect the Society's non-partisan character.
