Uganda, Tanzania and Vitol sign MoU on Tanga Regional Energy Hub during Museveni visit to Dar es Salaam

During President Museveni's working visit to Tanzania, the Uganda National Oil Company, Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation and Vitol Bahrain E.C. signed a memorandum of understanding on petroleum storage, refining, logistics and distribution infrastructure in Tanga, with Presidents Museveni and Samia Suluhu Hassan present, ChimpReports reported. Energy Minister Monica Musenero described the deal as a step towards joint development, and Tanzanian Energy Minister Deo Ndejembi said the hub could attract investment of more than $20 billion.
