UNBS director Kasigwa attends ministry event as executive director despite directive to step aside

UNBS Executive Director James Kasigwa attended the inauguration of the National Sugar Council at the Ministry of Trade and introduced himself as executive director, despite a ministerial directive for him to go on leave during an investigation, the Daily Monitor reported. Mr Kasigwa told the paper he had 'never left', while Minister Francis Mwebesa declined to say what had become of the directive.
