International Actions Verified Uganda (national) 22 May 2026 Severity: 2/5

According to the Daily Monitor, the United States temporarily extended its Ebola-related travel restriction to lawful permanent residents who have recently been in DR Congo, Uganda or South Sudan. Before this, citizens, nationals and permanent residents had been exempt from the 30-day order. The CDC said the change was needed to reduce the risk of the virus entering the country.
