UPDF and Congolese forces overrun ADF camp in eastern DRC under Operation Shujaa, UPDF says

The UPDF said in a statement issued on Friday 27 February 2026 that joint Ugandan and Congolese forces under Operation Shujaa overran a camp of suspected ADF rebels west of River Epulu in eastern DRC. According to the UPDF, several fighters were killed, others fled with injuries, weapons and explosives-making materials were recovered, and twelve captives were rescued near Ofayee in the Ndimo area. The Congolese army had not issued its own statement, ChimpReports said.
