UPDF announces reinforced deployment on Kampala roads, highways and critical infrastructure

At a joint news conference, UPDF deputy spokesperson Lt Col Deo Akiiki said the army had reinforced deployment around critical installations such as power stations and fuel reserves, and that roads into Kampala and highways would be jointly manned. He said the army would carry out pre-emptive operations across the Kampala metropolitan area and the country, and told the public not to carry out activities near such installations.
