The UPDF said it carried out artillery strikes on 22 and 23 November near Babunga village, south of the River Epulu in Mambasa territory, eastern DR Congo, destroying two ADF camps under the joint Operation Shujaa with the Congolese army. Acting defence spokesperson Col. Chris Magezi said the ADF suffered heavy casualties and that its leader Musa Baluku was believed to have been at one camp, though no figures were given and they could not be independently verified.
