According to the Daily Monitor, the UPDF recruitment team for Teso and Bukedi sent away 15 candidates from Kapelebyong, Katakwi and Amuria districts over forged academic documents. The team's public information officer, Lt Nasser Mane, said the candidates had applied and been selected before the forgeries were found. Soroti officials separately warned candidates against paying anyone who claims to secure recruitment slots.
