URA customs officer finds USD 10.2 million concealed in container; suspect handed to security

According to the Uganda Revenue Authority, a customs officer found USD 10.2 million packed in boxes in a container declared as personal effects of a Ugandan returning from Turkey. URA said the clearing agent tried to persuade the officer not to report the find, and its spokesperson Robert Kalumba said a suspect had been handed to security and was being questioned.
