Police in Wamala Region released final lists of 3,984 people recruited as Special Election Polling Constables on three-month contracts for the 2026 general elections, according to regional police spokesperson SSP Lameck Kigozi. He said the recruits, drawn from Mityana, Kasanda, Kyankwanzi, Kiboga and Mubende, would begin training on 8 December at three centres.
