Works and Transport Minister Fred Byamukama said the ministry had found that officials responsible for setting compensation rates own buildings along about 10 km of the Nakawuka–Nateete Road, and that similar cases occurred on the Kyaliwajjala–Kira–Matugga Road, according to ChimpReports. He said this made compensation on the Nakawuka–Nateete Road three times the construction cost, alleged payments for titles created in wetlands and attempted bribery, and said the officials would be arrested.
