Works Minister Byamukama tells Parliament officials collude with landowners to inflate road compensation

Minister of Works and Transport Fred Byamukama told Parliament that some government officials and road engineers work with landowners who get advance word of planned road corridors, allowing compensation values to be inflated. He also said some officials work with contractors to inflate project costs, and that his ministry is investigating and tightening controls, according to ChimpReports.
