Works Ministry says it has opened investigation into illegal fees for digital number plates

In a statement, Ministry of Works and Transport Permanent Secretary Bageya Waiswa apologised to motorists over delays and irregular charges in the issuance of digital number plates and said investigations had begun. He said any demand for extra or 'facilitation' fees is illegal and that those found extorting clients would face disciplinary and legal action, according to ChimpReports.
