Charcoal ban operation in Amuru impounds 260 bags and a truck, two arrested

Police said an inter-agency operation on 6 October 2026 across Pabbo Town Council, Opara Sub-county and Atiak Town Council in Amuru District impounded 260 bags of charcoal. In Pabbo, officers impounded a vehicle carrying 26 bags and arrested its driver and conductor, according to The Independent.
