Coffee farmers in Irapa Village, Bugaya Sub-county, held a demonstration accusing regional coffee quality assurance officer Ismael Kabaale of extorting money, imposing unjustified fines and seizing coffee with police officers, according to the Daily Monitor. Kabaale denied soliciting bribes and said his operations enforce quality rules.

Disputed: Farmers accuse Kabaale of extortion and arbitrary seizures, while Kabaale denies soliciting bribes and says he only enforces coffee quality standards.
