EC disqualifies Daniel Mulirire from Budiope East parliamentary race, Buyende

According to the Daily Monitor, EC Chairperson Justice Byabakama informed Daniel Mulirire, a former police officer, on 23 December that he had not attached proof of resignation from public service at nomination. Mulirire told the paper he resigned 550 days before nomination and said he remains in the race against incumbent Moses Hashim Magogo.
