EC disqualifies NUP's Sarah Kyarimpa from Isingiro District Woman MP race

In a 23 December letter, EC Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama said Sarah Kyarimpa did not meet nomination requirements because one of her seconders signed twice, following a complaint by Ortus Advocates. NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya later presented forms he said show different seconders, and alleged she had been offered bribes to step down; the Daily Monitor says the bribery claim is unverified.
